Ryan Bosch, MD, MBA, is the Chief Health and Informatics Officer at Acentra Health. Dr. Bosch brings a wealth of experience from his multi-sector career in healthcare spanning the military, academics, consulting, and industry, where he has consistently demonstrated his leadership acumen to improve care through the integration of advanced health technologies and evidence-based clinical practice. Dr. Bosch earned his Bachelor of Arts with Distinction (Echols Scholar) and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia (AOA Honor Society). Following his medical degree, Dr. Bosch completed an internal medicine residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center and a fellowship in Aerospace Medicine at Brooks Air Force Base, both with the U.S. Air Force.

Dr. Bosch’s career is marked by significant leadership roles, including his tenure as President and Chief Health Officer at Socially Determined Inc., where he oversaw the development of technology solutions to quantify and address social determinants of health (SDOH). Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Technology and Chief Medical Information Officer at Inova Health System, where he led the implementation of the Epic electronic health record system (EHR) and directed substantial budgets and teams to optimize healthcare delivery.

In addition to his executive roles, Dr. Bosch has a robust academic and consulting background. He has held positions such as Director of the Division of General Internal Medicine and Director of the Executive Health Center at George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, where he managed comprehensive health services and implemented critical health IT strategies. His consulting experience includes working with Deloitte Consulting as a CIO advisor, where he provided strategic guidance on EHR implementations and health information exchanges.

Dr. Bosch’s contributions to the field of medical informatics have been recognized nationally, including being a finalist for Microsoft’s Clinician of the Year and receiving accolades from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). His military service further complements his professional journey, having served as an operational flight surgeon and attaining the rank of Major in the U.S. Air Force.
