Kelly Schlageter
Chief People Officer
Kelly Schlageter serves as Chief People Officer at Acentra Health. In this role, she is responsible for leading human resources and communications, driving employee engagement, talent retention and attraction, and culture change at all stages of the employee experience. In addition, she serves as executive sponsor for Acentra Health’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, and the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
Schlageter joined CNSI in 2019, and helped lead the CNSI-Kepro merger that formed Acentra Health. Previously, she led marketing and communications at the Inova Health System, the largest healthcare system in the Washington, DC region, where she developed the branding and advertising campaign for the new Inova Schar Cancer Institute. She also led a successful comprehensive public relations campaign to rezone the 117-acre Inova Center for Personalized Health campus.
Prior to Inova, Schlageter spent 14 years at Sprint where she held multiple roles in IT, Managed Services, Communications, and Public Relations. Her strong technology and healthcare background serves our organization well during this exciting time when technology is disrupting traditional ways of accessing and receiving care. Her experience and passion for the positive disruption that technology brings to bear on the healthcare market is a great asset to Acentra Health.
Schlageter currently serves on the board of the Northern Virginia Chamber and has received several awards for her work in LGBTQI advocacy, including Washington Business Journal’s Business of Pride (2021) and OUTstanding Virginian (2015).
In recognition of her many strategically led marketing initiatives, Schlageter’s work has received awards for advertising and public relations campaigns. She has received a Silver Anvil and was nominated for an Effie Award. Schlageter received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Bowling Green State University.
