Charlene Frizzera

Acentra Health is deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved friend and colleague, Charlene Frizzera.

Charlene was the President and CEO of CF Health Advisors, a health policy and business strategy advisory firm that she co-founded after her retirement following thirty years of federal service as the Acting Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Prior to CF Health Advisors, Charlene was the Acting Administrator of CMS, where she was responsible for all policy and operational management for CMS. Over Charlene’s thirty-year career at CMS, she gained extensive, in-depth policy and operational knowledge having previously held the positions of Chief Operating Officer of CMS, Deputy Director of the Center for Medicaid and State Operations, Regional Administrator of the Philadelphia Regional Office, as well as various other positions in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.

Charlene was a member of the Board of Directors of Care Hospice, The Schumacher Group, Noridian Healthcare Solutions, and DotLab. She also served as an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health and as a Senior Advisor for consulting firm, Leavitt Partners.

Charlene will be greatly missed by the Acentra Health team and also by everyone she positively impacted throughout her life.
