Acentra Health has been selected by the Alaska Department of Health (DOH), Division of Health Care Services (HCS), to design, develop, and operate Alaska’s new Medicaid Provider Enrollment Module — an important component of the state’s broader Medicaid system modernization efforts.
The new module will modernize and streamline how Alaska Medicaid providers enroll, re-enroll, revalidate, and maintain their information. Designed to improve clarity and reduce manual processes, the solution will also strengthen provider screening and monitoring, improve integration with other Medicaid systems, and help shorten timelines from completed application to approval.
The contract includes performance standards that will enable HCS to more closely monitor the enrollment system and ensure it continues to meet the needs of providers and Alaska Medicaid beneficiaries.
Development of the new module will take place over the coming year, with HCS engaging providers throughout the process, including opportunities to test the application before rollout.
This contract win further demonstrates Acentra Health’s role as a trusted partner to state health agencies as they modernize critical Medicaid technology and operations to reduce administrative burden, strengthen program integrity, and improve access to essential healthcare services.
