MCLEAN, Va. – May 13, 2025 – Acentra Health, a technology and health solutions and services company dedicated to accelerating better outcomes for its government and commercial healthcare clients and the populations they serve, today announced the appointment of Sunil Budhrani, MD, MPH, MBA, to its Healthcare Advisory Board. With extensive experience advancing clinical innovation, digital health, and healthcare system transformation, Dr. Budhrani will play a key role in guiding Acentra Health’s continued development of integrated, client-focused solutions.

Dr. Budhrani currently serves as Chief Innovation and Medical Officer at Capital Rx, where he leads the development of groundbreaking clinical offerings, strategic partnerships, and the expansion of the JUDI® platform to enhance pharmacy benefit management.
A board-certified emergency medicine physician on the faculty at the George Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Budhrani has held executive leadership roles across a range of healthcare organizations, representing both public and private initiatives. He previously served as CEO of Innovation Health, a payer-provider collaboration between CVS/Aetna and the Inova Health System. He also founded CareClix Telemedicine, one of the first national end-to-end telemedicine platforms, and PrimeMed Urgent Care Systems, a multi-site regional urgent care network. Additionally, he served as the first Chief Medical Officer of the Affordable Care Act health plan, Evergreen Health Care, for the state of Maryland.
